13 WEEKS | TELLING EVERYONE

It was slightly nerve-wracking telling everyone.. I'm not the keenest on being the centre of attention and it felt strange to 'have news'. No-one really talks about how awkward it feels to say the words "I'm pregnant" out loud.

We decided to invite everyone that could make it from our immediate family round for a BBQ the Saturday after our first scan. We didn't want to do a 'reveal' or even an announcement, so we decided to leave it up to Vivienne to tell people when everyone had arrived. She told a few people, before going round everyone else showing them the scan picture - it was so lovely and low-key and the day felt so special. I don't think anyone could believe it!

Our friends came around a few hours later and we told them as they arrived. Everyone seemed to have been out the night before so was slightly worse for wear and tired, and we all hung out eating burgers and treats until the sun went down. It felt nice for the news to be 'out', we also found out some of our friends were expecting their first baby too, a few weeks after us; it's all feeling a bit real and exciting!

12 WEEKS | ULTRASOUND SCAN

Pretty self-explanatory.... today we had our dating scan! Fortunately everything is looking completely normal. I actually measured over for the dates we had so far, so I went into the appointment thinking I was 12 weeks + 1 and I'm actually 12 weeks + 5, meaning I'm due on 20th January next year.

11 WEEKS | SLAYING AT BEYONCE, NOT SLAYING BACK HOME

I celebrated the 11 week mark by seeing the Queen, and she was amazing. Sadly, Lou couldn't join us as baby Massimo was poorly so Katie and I tried to slay for three. We travelled over to Manchester to see her, and for some reason that day I felt compelled to eat four full sized meals before 3pm.. and still managed a whole lobster and fries an hour later.. and some dirty takeaway chicken in the early hours after dancing in some amazing dive bar on Canal Street..

So, we've been back for two days and I'm still tired. We've been down at Glastonbury for the past week and it was so good. I'd been quite nervous about going and feeling pretty shitty and not particularly enjoying it but, tipsy or not (not, obviously), I had a blast....
